At Prosertek USA we have one of the basic systems for any modern and advanced integrated mooring system: the quick release hook assembly (QRH). The system allows for safe and quick mooring at the dock or docking by providing solid attachment points for boat mooring lines.
The quick release hook assembly is complemented by the Dockmoor-RR, an automation firing system developed by Prosertek that allows remote or local firing of the hooks.
Quick Release Hooks (QRH), are the mooring systems par excellence when there is a need for safety, efficiency, operating easiness, durability and ease of maintenance, and with the best cost-functionality ratio.
They offer major benefits compared to conventional systems for commercial terminals and ports, thanks to how they facilitate the collection of the ship’s mooring lines and allow for the incorporation of mechanisms for remote firing, as well as sensors for monitoring the tension of the mooring lines. This allows them to facilitate the operation of the system and reduce the risk to operators.
Quick Release Hooks are supplied with a protective coating adapted to their functionality. They are coatings using epoxy paints with good moistening properties that result in a strong coating resistant to abrasion and impacts, sea water, mineral oils, aliphatic hydrocarbons and spilling of petrol or similar products.
There is an option of adapting the hook coating based on its features and we offer protective coatings for C5-M corrosion category under the ISO 12944-6 standard or NORSOK M-501 system #1 standard. We can also adapt to other protection systems according to the demand or needs of the project.

We use the following materials for the manufacture of our quick release hooks:
Cast steel in the hook body, hook tooth and retention lever.
Rolled steel in the base of the GER and in the structural sections.
Machined steel and heat-treated shafts.Meeting the constructive ethics of Prosertek, the sturdiness, safety and functionality of its capstans is assured. Our capstans have reversible turning, the reducer is full of oil for life, stretched drum to optimise the line travel and activated via a pedal, allowing hands free operation.
Our capstans are usually compactly integrated into the quick release hook itself, although we also sell them separately to work on their own or as support equipment for other mooring systems.
The Dockmoor-RR is an automation firing system that allows the firing of one or more of the quick release hooks both remotely and locally, as well as general emergency firing.
The system consists of two parts: the Dockmoor viewer, a series of interactive screens for monitoring the tension of the mooring lines and the status of the hook, and a panel with control units to control the firing of the hooks.
