Prosertek is present at the Australasian Coasts & Ports 2019 Event that is currently taking place (10-13 September) in Hobart, Tasmania.
Iñaki Lasfuentes (CEO of Prosertek Group) and David Gold (CEO of Prosertek Oceania) are attending as delegates.
Australasian Coasts & Ports 2019 is the most important forum in the region to bring together professionals to discuss issues related to coasts and ports, from a multidisciplinary point of view.
The theme of this year’s conference is Future directions from 40º S and beyond, a title that reflects the increasing awareness about the need to find suitable means for adapting to change in the right direction.
It also refers to a geographical location at the northern extremity of Tasmania – where the event is taking place -. Beyond 40 °S is Antarctica, the frozen continent, a deeper understanding of which will aid our increasing knowledge about its influence on oceans and coasts around Australasia, Oceania and beyond.
In short, Australasian Coasts and Ports 2019 brings together engineers and researchers in Hobart to focus on the technological, scientific, planning and design issues related to diversity, and the development of the coasts and ports.
Within this context, Prosertek is attending as an exhibitor, where attendees will find a priority space for their cutting-edge port equipment, such as the Berthing Aid System (BAS), a system that aids efficiency and safe navigation, providing data, both in real time as well as generating historical data during each operation. This allows the system to facilitate berthing, helping pilots and ground staff to make decisions, thus minimising errors.
The Prosertek stand also has information about necessary port equipment at any port, such as gangways, quick release hooks or ship berthing defences.
