Grupo Prosertek has a new division, which will further consolidate its range of global services for ports and terminals. The leading company in port engineering services has acquired Mare Commercial Diving, a diving and underwater work company based in Asturias.
This acquisition has enabled Grupo Prosertek to consolidate its expansion in the port services segment. Mare Commercial Diving’s experience and team of professionals, in particular, will allow Prosertek to directly offer underwater maintenance work for ports, ships, reservoirs, desalination plants and the aquaculture industry to name a few, without the involvement of any middlemen.
Toward a comprehensive range of services
This integration is the culmination of a long-standing history of synergy between the two companies. It all began when Prosertek, in its ongoing desire to solve the challenges facing its customers, identified the need for many ports to contract a range of types of underwater jobs.
Its search for the best professional team that could carry out this type of inspection and maintenance of submerged structures, led it to Mare Commercial Diving, an Asturian company that stands out for its team of highly trained technicians and certified divers. This led to a partnership agreement to offer the best advice and execution of any underwater work.
Within just a few months, this successful collaboration led to talks of integrating the underwater work company under the Grupo Prosertek umbrella. This movement is part of Prosertek’s firm commitment to intensifying its comprehensive services portfolio for its customers.
Underwater services provided by Prosertek
This operation has allowed Prosertek to bolster its range of port underwater maintenance works. This includes the inspection, repair and maintenance of docks, defences, piling, structures and machinery submerged in the port environment, as well as ships, providing services such as cleaning hulls and propellers.
Our team also allows us to offer inspection and maintenance services for other sectors, working in submerged facilities such as desalination plants, sewage plants, reservoirs, the aquaculture industry and submerged machinery for all types of industries.
