Prosertek is returning to one of the leading fairs in the port sector. Namely, ILTA 2022, the trade fair and conference specialised in the liquid terminals segment taking place from 13 to 15 June in Houston, Texas.
Considered the largest meeting in its sector, the fair is now in its 42nd year under the organisation of the International Liquid Terminals Association (ILTA). This first post-pandemic edition of the event hopes to be attended by more than 4,500 professionals from the liquid terminal sector.
ILTA 2022 takes place over 3 days with a full agenda of educational sessions, conferences, networking and a large trade exhibition that will be attended by Prosertek. The exchange of information appears to be an increasingly important aspect at a time when the terminal sector is now more innovative and dynamic than ever.
And the topics covered this year include environmental management and monitoring of emissions and how to adapt to spill prevention regulations (SPCC). Technology will play an important role with the digital transformation of work at terminals, the use of innovative tank and pipeline inspection and cleaning technologies, blockchain and cybersecurity.
This year’s conferences will have a more participatory approach, with other challenges also being discussed, such as attracting generational change and improving job security. In short, a selection of hot topics for the industry that will allow attendees to learn and make improvements, save on costs and add value.
Berthing aids at liquid terminals
The Prosertek Group, who had previously attended in 2019, will return to this leading event for the liquid terminal sector to present its port equipment, particularly its state-of-the-art solutions for liquid terminals such as BAS (Berthing Aid System).
Our BAS consists of a berthing aid system that provides vital information to improve efficiency and safe navigation at the terminals. Its major contribution of data, both in real time and with historical reports, assists pilots and ground personnel in making decisions, thus facilitating the docking manoeuvre and reducing human error. Its modular structure allows the solution to be customised according to the needs of each terminal.
Another product worth mentioning at our stand will be quick release hooks, a key piece of an integrated and advanced mooring system. This system provides solid attachment points for boat mooring lines, which allows safe and rapid docking. It is complemented by our Dockmoor-RR module, an automated firing system to enable remote or local firing of hooks.
And the Prosertek stand will have plenty of information on the necessary equipment in any terminal, such as gangways, bollards and docking defences. These solutions , which Prosertek has extensive manufacturing and installation experience that combined with peak efficiency in operations that are take place daily at liquid terminals.
