Prosertek attended the seventh Mediterranean Ports & Shipping 2019 event. Once again, we were side-by-side with ADC Maritime, collaborator in France and in French-speaking Africa.
At this professional event, held 25-27 June 2019, we analysed the current situation of Mediterranean ports, their plans and their future needs. This event, previously held at strategic focal points in the Mediterranean such as Barcelona or Livorno, left its comfort zone to travel to Casablanca (Morocco). This emphasises the country’s important role as a relevant port of connection in Western Africa with the Mediterranean arc.
Key meeting for Mediterranean port transport
The meeting solidified its position as a leading professional event in the sector. An unbeatable opportunity to network with the local market (in this case, Morocco) and the market abroad, facilitating investments for the port and transport sector. In this regard, there were sales opportunities for exhibitors and sponsors to directly network face-to-face with those attending the professional fair.
Mediterranean Ports & Shipping 2019 also highlighted the exchange of knowledge, placing emphasis on a two-day conference programme with 30 world-class speakers. Talks and debates shining the spotlight on key issues and challenges in transport and logistics in the Mediterranean area.
Attending the fair were over 300 high-ranking government civil servants, industry managers, academics, port authorities, port engineers, maintenance supervisors and decision-makes for purchases, along with leading importers and exporters in the region, cargo owners, shipping lines, freight brokers, logistics companies, ports, terminal operators, railway operators, port services and equipment providers from countries all around the Mediterranean region.
Prosertek and ADC Maritime, a winning alliance.
With this well-stocked cast of stars from the port industry, Prosertek had its place in the credits, as well. The Basque company was represented by CEO Iñaki Lasfuentes and accompanied by ADC Maritime, the partner in France and in French-speaking Africa, represented by manager Jean Francois García. The technology, service and consulting that both companies provide to this market also contribute to evolving as necessary at terminals and ports.
The combined efforts of Prosertek and ADC Maritime, to guarantee their presence and share their products and solutions at this type of international forum is nothing new. With good results, they already repeated at previous professional events, such as the latest edition of Intermodal Africa, where they shared a stand. With this new collaboration, the harmony between two cutting-edge companies in the port equipment sector is strengthened.
This alliance will most likely be repeated the next edition, this time around, on Spanish soil. For the fair’s eighth edition, the Autoridad Portuaria de Valencia (Port Authority of Valencia) (APV) will be taking the baton, holding the event in the Valencian capital in 2021.
